Of 97 NBA contracts GMs actually negotiated, exactly one will make money
The full 15-minute analytical piece — your recorded voiceover, Manim data-viz, burned-in captions and chapters. Every "best contracts" list ranks CBA-mandated bargains (rookie scale, max, vet-min); strip those out and only Payton Pritchard's deal projects positive value to the team.
What I fixed in this cut
- The "6× / 30 teams" beat was broken — the callout scene stacked the 30-bar chart, the CLE/BRK comparison, and the tagline on top of each other. Rebuilt it as a clean hero: 6× → CLE $13.3M vs BRK $2.2M → tagline.
- The bar-chart viz was invisible — the good "If Pritchard signed with every other team" chart (tier legend, grouped bars, 6× bracket) was getting a 0.1s window because a segment card anchored on top of it. Re-anchored it to the team-by-team narration so it now runs its full ~27s over the Brooklyn→Boston→Cleveland walkthrough.
- Everything else (your voiceover, captions, chapters, all other Manim scenes) is untouched. Previous cut saved as master.prev.mp4.
This is the archived build at ~/code/archive/sports/nba_content/videos/01_contracts. Model is v4.1. If you want to refresh the numbers for a new season, re-run src/fetch.py → src/final_v4.py, re-render the affected Manim scenes, then pipeline assemble + pipeline chapters.
