Strand that many and you waste a good night. xpoes were balanced and clutch — owning contact and small ball, 55% RISP — and pulled away. theenash s stayed hot in a losing cause.
The tightest game on the slate, and a clinic in cashing in. anurag actually put more men on — winning power, contact, and on the bases. But dan flipped it where it counts: 60% with RISP to anurag's 36%, while anurag killed rallies with 3 costly outs. In a high-offense league, driving runners in beats collecting hits. Sean F led anurag; Lishan P and Dennis J carried dan.
(Stitch)² won the power game — a sweep on the long ball and a bullpen edge — but czz had the best bat in the yard. vishnu m went 5-for-5, hitting in every situation: a sweep in patient at-bats and command of small ball. Add a 55%-to-40% RISP edge and it was over. The only favorite to deliver.
The most counterintuitive box of the night: James W was more aggressive AND better with RISP (62% to 42%) — and lost by three. The reason was volume of baserunners. cryo simply put more men on across more of the order, sweeping speed and the bullpen at-bats and winning contact. James W's edges (power, the patient at-bats) were real but too narrow. The preseason favorite, meet variance. Edward paced cryo.
20 combined runs with barely an empty frame — a true slugfest. Both clubs were lethal with RISP (67% each), so it came down to volume, and ChessFun had more — a power sweep (4–0) and the overall at-bat edge, sparked by Eric L, who ambushed first pitches all night. Kian D drove in runs to keep Connor close, but never level.
