Down early and thin, Gid unraveled into 5 turnovers. sumin was surgical at the line too (64%). Angelina Y (20) and Advai S (16) led the rout. The most lopsided final you'll see all year.
This one isn't on the offense for mingle — they won the paint 3–0, split the corner and from deep, and actually played at a faster tempo. It's on the stripe: mingle went 2-of-9 from the line (22%). You cannot gift a contender that many free points and live. xpoes stayed balanced — owning the mid-range and the elbow, 55% at the line — and cruised. theenash s dropped 24 in a losing cause.
The closest game on the slate, and a clinic in efficiency. anurag actually got more buckets — they won the paint, the mid-range, and in transition. But dan flipped it where it counts: 60% from the line to anurag's 36%, while anurag killed itself with 3 turnovers. In a high-efficiency league, cashing your freebies beats winning the field-goal race. Sean F posted 20 for anurag; Lishan P and Dennis J carried dan.
(Stitch)² controlled the corners — winning the paint 3–0 and from deep — but czz had the best player on the floor by a mile. vishnu m went for 32 on 9 made shots, scoring from every spot — sweeping the corner and dominating the elbow. That, plus a 55%-to-40% edge at the line, was the ballgame. The lone favorite to survive the entire slate.
The most counterintuitive box of the night: James W played faster AND shot better from the line (62% to 42%) — and lost by nine. The culprit was volume. cryo simply got to more shots across more of the floor, sweeping transition and from deep and winning the mid-range. James W's edges (the paint, the corner) were real but too narrow. The preseason favorite, meet variance. Edward paced cryo with 20.
246 combined points with almost no empty trips — pure run-and-gun. Both teams were lights-out at the line (67% each), so it came down to volume, and ChessFun had more — a paint sweep (4–0) and the overall edge, powered by Eric L, who never met a shot he didn't take early. Kian D's 28 kept Connor within striking distance but never closer.

The marquee matchup, and a superstar duel: Kian D (28 in Week 1) takes his show into vishnu m's building (32 and Player of the Week). Two of the most talented rosters in the league, two guys who each dragged their team across the floor by themselves. Connor is coming off the wrong end of a track meet and wants to prove it was a fluke; vishnu just showed he can win one solo. Whichever supporting cast shows up decides it — the headliners are going to trade buckets all night.

The swing factor is the status of the No. 1 overall pick — if Harry G is back in uniform, GidTheKid2 is a completely different, far deeper team than the short-handed group sumin embarrassed. anurag has a cleaner fix: they out-shot dan.k.memes and still lost, done in by a cold night at the line and sloppy turnovers. Tighten that up and they're dangerous.
Two of Week 1's most impressive wins, opposite identities. ChessFun lit up the scoreboard for 120 behind Eric L's quick trigger; cryo won by going ten-deep and getting to every spot on the floor. If the game's a track meet, ChessFun's top-heavy firepower thrives — if it bogs down, cryo's depth grinds them out.
Two unbeatens collide as dan.k.memes (won on free-throw efficiency) visits xpoes (won on balance) — a clash of blueprints that sets the early divisional pecking order. Elsewhere, the slate is full of bounce-back spots: preseason favorite James W has to shake off an upset loss against debutant jonathan, and mingle/Yunyi — betrayed by that 2-of-9 night at the line — host the other returnee, Fez_Keyreb. Unknown opponents, motivated hosts: exactly the high-variance recipe that cooked Week 1.
