The tightest match on the card, and a finishing masterclass. anurag actually created more — winning the box, midfield, and on the counter. But dan flipped it where it counts: 60% finishing to anurag's 36%, while anurag undid itself with 3 giveaways. In a free-scoring league, taking your chances beats making them. Sean F led anurag; Lishan P and Dennis J carried dan.
(Stitch)² won the physical battle — a sweep in the box and an edge from range — but czz had the best player on the park by a distance. vishnu m scored a hat-trick, turning up all over the pitch, sweeping the wings and running the set-piece routine. Add a 55%-to-40% finishing edge and it was settled. The only favourite to deliver.
The most counterintuitive stat line of the weekend: James W pressed faster AND finished better (62% to 42%) — and lost 3–1. The reason was volume. cryo simply created more across more of the pitch, sweeping the counter and from range and winning midfield. James W's edges (the box, out wide) were real but too narrow. The preseason title pick, meet reality. Edward led cryo.
