The regular season is over. The final round of pool fixtures locked all eight playoff seeds, settled two photo-finish tiebreakers, and sent three sides home. There were no betting lines posted for this makeup round, so this week we let the goals and the xG do the talking. Six fixtures were played; only two clubs โ GidTheKid2 and czz โ had no fixture, and both had their fates already sealed. The headline is a shootout: xpoes edged Fez_Keyreb 4โ3 in the highest-scoring match of the season to steal the East's fourth seed, while (Stitch)ยฒ hammered ChessFun 5โ1 to take the West's last seat. When the whistles blew, the knockout bracket was fully drawn.
For every side that played we model the goals it should have created given the exact XI that dressed and each club's zone strength, then compare it to what actually hit the net. Positive = overperformed (created more than the fixture implied); negative = underperformed. Two clubs โ GidTheKid2 and czz โ had no fixture and take no new mark.
| Side | Chances | xG | ฮ | Read |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| dan.k.memes | 14 | 8.6 | +5.4 | A Set-piece 4โ0 whitewash and Varyan J's tempo-16 masterclass routed sumin 4โ1. Clinched the East's No. 1 seed and the best line of the week. |
| (Stitch)ยฒ | 13 | 8.3 | +4.7 | A Counter 3โ0, Set-piece 2โ0, Range 3โ0 triple-sweep in a 5โ1 rout that grabbed the West's last seed. From โ228 to a seed-clincher. |
| xpoes | 13 | 8.7 | +4.3 | A Wings 4โ0 sweep and Rohan G's 28-touch night out-gunned a 90% opponent in a seven-goal thriller. Clinched the East's last seat. |
| jonathan | 11 | 7.5 | +3.5 | Beat its number on Edwin H's 8-contribution, 28-goal farewell โ but it lost the match. Individual fireworks in a season-ending defeat. |
| James W | 12 | 9.4 | +2.6 | Midfield 3โ1 and Counter 3โ1 edges ended Connor's season 3โ1. Clinched the West No. 1 seed and the best diff in the league. |
| Fez_Keyreb | 10 | 8.8 | +1.2 | Finished at a video-game 90% โ and still lost the 4โ3. Out-created by three chances; the most talented one-win side you'll see. |
| mingle/Yunyi | 10 | 9.0 | +1.0 | Right on its number, but four giveaways and a Midfield 4โ0 the only thing working. This was the No. 2 seed coasting with the spot locked. |
| anurag | 10 | 9.1 | +0.9 | A Range 3โ0 sweep beat the No. 2 seed 3โ1 as a spoiler โ a week too late. Eliminated on goals scored despite the win. |
| Connor Chang | 10 | 9.4 | +0.6 | Right on its number but five giveaways in a chippy 3โ1 loss. Season over; Kian D's six contributions deserved better. |
| cryo | 11 | 11.1 | โ0.1 | Bang on the number โ a Counter 4โ0 sweep and just one giveaway locked the West No. 2 seed. Quietly excellent, the side nobody wants to draw. |
| sumin | 8 | 9.7 | โ1.7 | Run 4โ1 to close, 38% finishing, but 504 goals held the No. 3 seed on the tiebreak. The roster can win any single knockout. |
| ChessFun | 6 | 9.1 | โ3.1 | Only 6 chances and four giveaways in a 5โ1 rout that ended the year. The rotation questions never got answered. |
The highest-scoring match of the season, a win-and-in, and the story of the week. xpoes beat its number hard โ 13 chances against an xG of 8.7 (+4.3) โ swept the wings 4โ0, and took the set-piece 3โ1. Rohan G was the difference (3G+2A, a match-high eight goal contributions at touch 27, one giveaway), out-gunning a Fez side that could not have finished better. xpoes clinch the East's last seat.
Fez_Keyreb did nothing wrong at the finish and still went home. They converted a video-game 90% (9/10) and beat their number (10 vs 8.8, +1.2), holding the box 3โ1 and counter 3โ1. But volume beat conversion: three fewer chances, zero barren spells all match, and a 4โ3 loss that ends the most talented one-win season you'll ever see. Advik S's 1G+1A led the reply.
The rout of the week, and the seed-clincher nobody saw coming from a โ228 club. (Stitch)ยฒ overperformed at 13 chances vs 8.3 (+4.7), built on a counter 3โ0, set-piece 2โ0 and range 3โ0 triple-whitewash. pancreas uvula (2G+1A, six contributions at touch 29) led the demolition that grabbed the West's last seat. Volatile all year โ but the pulse is real.
ChessFun's season ended with a whimper. Just 6 chances (โ3.1), four giveaways, and only a midfield 2โ1 to point to. Eric L's four contributions were as good as it got. Run by four, out of the bracket; the rotation questions were never answered.
The cleanest No. 1-seed close-out of the round. dan.k.memes generated 14 chances against an 8.6 expectation (+5.4), the best line of the week, and swept the set-piece 4โ0 outright. Varyan J ran it at the fastest tempo of the week (touch 16) โ 2G+2A, seven contributions โ pacing a ruthless shift that locked the East's top seed.
sumin got run but survived where it counted. Only 8 chances (โ1.7) at 38% finishing, holding just a counter 3โ1. alphazom's three contributions supplied the consolation. A four-goal loss to close โ but 504 goals on the season held the No. 3 seed on the tiebreak, and this roster can win any single knockout.
The West's top seed, sealed by ending a season. James W came in over its number (12 vs 9.4, +2.6) on midfield 3โ1 and counter 3โ1 edges. It was a scrappy one โ both sides gave it away five times โ but akhil's five contributions had the volume that mattered. James W's campaign was the West's best.
Connor Chang were right on their number (10 vs 9.4, +0.6) and had the wings (3โ1), but five giveaways in a chippy match cost them. Kian D (six contributions) deserved better than a play-in exit. The 122-goal ceiling never stabilised, and the season is over.
A No. 2-seed cruise that couldn't quite silence a farewell. cryo landed bang on its number (11 vs 11.1, โ0.1), swept the counter 4โ0, and gave the ball away just once all match. Edward's four contributions paced the win that locked the West's second seed.
jonathan actually beat its expected (11 vs 7.5, +3.5) on the back of Edwin H ("potential man") โ a 3G+1A, eight-contribution, 28-goal farewell that held the box 3โ0. But three giveaways and no answer to the counter sweep ended it. Individual fireworks, team maths that never closed: the season in miniature.
The spoiler of the week โ a week too late. anurag came in over its number (10 vs 9.1, +0.9) and swept the range 3โ0 to beat the No. 2 seed 3โ1. Sanjay Suresh (2G+1A, six contributions at touch 23) led it. anurag was already eliminated; this only played spoiler.
mingle/Yunyi were right on their number (10 vs 9.0, +1.0) with the seed long since locked, and it showed โ four giveaways and only a midfield 4โ0 to point to. theenash s's six contributions kept it respectable. This was the East favourite coasting into the knockouts, not a warning sign.
All 14 sides after Matchweek 7, both conferences. Order is playoff seed first, then the eliminated sides by finish. Records lead, but the takes lean on xG โ and the seeds are now fact, not projection. Two clubs had no fixture; a bye doesn't bury a settled seed, but it doesn't earn a new mark either.
EAST
| # | Side | The Verdict |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | dan.k.memes | 5โ1, the No. 1 seed. The โ6 goal difference says the wins are narrow, but 5 of 6 is 5 of 6, and a Set-piece 4โ0 close-out looked the part. Hosts xpoes. |
| 2 | mingle/Yunyi | 4โ2, No. 2 seed and still the league's best goal difference in the East (+210). The anurag loss was a coast with the seed locked; the ceiling is the East favourite. Hosts sumin. |
| 3 | sumin | 3โ3, No. 3 seed on 504 goals. Streaky โ a four-goal loss to close โ but the roster can win any single match. Travels to mingle. |
| 4 | xpoes | 3โ3, No. 4 seed, and the story of the week: won a seven-goal thriller to grab the last seat by 20 goals of output. Rohan G is carrying them into a date with the 1-seed. |
| 5 | anurag | 3โ3 but eliminated on the tiebreak (468 goals). Played spoiler to mingle a week too late; 20 goals of offence short of the knockouts. |
| 6 | GidTheKid2 | 2โ4, no fixture, out. Harry Gao came back but the six-giveaway matches sank the season. |
| 7 | Fez_Keyreb | 1โ5, out โ and yet scored 554 goals (3rd-most in the East) and finished at 90% in the finale. The most talented one-win side you'll ever see; the volume never matched the finishing. |
WEST
| # | Side | The Verdict |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | James W | 5โ1, No. 1 seed, +254 diff (best in the league). Closed by eliminating Connor; akhil's season was the West's best. Hosts (Stitch)ยฒ. |
| 2 | cryo | 4โ2, No. 2 seed. Quietly excellent (+202); a Counter 4โ0 close-out. The side nobody wants to draw. Hosts czz. |
| 3 | czz | 4โ2, No. 3 seed on the tiebreak. Wins ugly (โ14 diff) and often; no fixture this week but locked into a date at cryo. |
| 4 | (Stitch)ยฒ | 3โ3, No. 4 seed. Went from โ228 to a 5โ1 seed-clincher; volatile, but the pulse is real. Travels to James W. |
| 5 | Connor Chang | 2โ4, eliminated. The high ceiling never stabilised; lost the play-in to James W. Kian D deserved better. |
| 6 | ChessFun | 2โ4, out. Run by four in the finale; the rotation questions never got answered. |
| 7 | jonathan | 1โ5, out. Edwin H's farewell was the season in miniature: individual fireworks, team maths that never closed. |
No lines were posted for this makeup round, so instead a season note: the game-line model closed the pool campaign having called direction on roughly 3-in-5 fixtures โ solid, but humbled twice by the same lesson (it underprices home advantage and overprices a single star's ceiling). Its best signal all year was xG: the clubs that consistently beat their expected chances โ mingle/Yunyi, James W, cryo โ are exactly the top seeds, and the sides that chronically fell short โ jonathan, ChessFun โ are the ones going home. The full season breakdown, and a championship simulation off these seeds, lands in the season report.

โก Most electric: Varyan J (touch word 16) and Edwin H (18) beat everyone to the ball. The lesson of the finale: Fez_Keyreb finished at 90% and still went out, while xpoes out-created them and clinched โ on the last matchweek, volume beat the best conversion line of the year.
Pool play is done and the bracket is drawn. The two No. 1 seeds โ dan.k.memes and James W โ host; the two best goal differences (mingle/Yunyi +210, James W +254) look like the favourites. From here it's win-or-go-home to the Grand Final for the $1,000.
EAST โ dan.k.memes (1) v xpoes (4) ยท mingle/Yunyi (2) v sumin (3)
WEST โ James W (1) v (Stitch)ยฒ (4) ยท cryo (2) v czz (3)
Winners advance to the conference finals, then the East champ meets the West champ in the Grand Final. The two juggernauts โ mingle/Yunyi (+210) and James W (+254) โ sit on opposite sides of the draw and could only meet in the final. The bracket's live wires are xpoes (Rohan G's seven-goal thriller form) drawing the 1-seed, and (Stitch)ยฒ carrying a 5โ1 clincher into James W's yard.
